• I need to point my domain to your nameservers. What is your nameservers?
In order to allow us to point your domain name to our web servers, you will need to change the nameservers at the domain registrar. Most registrars allow you to do this yourself, simply by clicking under DNS for your domain. When you find the nameservers section, you will see two entries: a primary and a secondary. Change whatever is listed to the following:
| Primary Nameserver: | ns1.lnhi.net | IP: 209.41.184.100 |
| Secondary Nameserver: | ns2.lnhi.net | IP: 65.36.160.56 |
| Third Nameserver: | ns3.lnhi.net | IP: 65.36.160.18 |
Once this change has been made, it usually takes up to 24 hrs for the domain DNS to propogate across the web. However, most registrars have automated this process, and therefore the change typically is reflected in less than an hour.
NOTE: If you're moving your website to us another hosting company, make sure your new website is setup BEFORE you change nameservers. Otherwise, you're website will be down until the new website is ready.

• I let my domain name expire. Can I still get it back?
Most registrars have a 30-40 day renewal grace period window when a domain expires. After that it goes into what's called the redemption period for 30 days. You may be charged more than the renewal fee to have your domain reinstated at this point.
After the 30 day redemption period, the domain is not retrievable, and goes back into the public pool where it's available for new registration.

• What's the name of my mail servers?
We always use your domain name to create your mail server name.
Incoming POP3: mail.yourdomain.com
Outgoing SMTP: mail.yourdomain.com
IMAP: mail.yourdomain.com
So for Nucom, we use mail.nucomwebhosting.com as our mail server for all three services.

• How do I configure my MX record for Postini Spam Filtering?
Your MX record needs to point to Spam filtering servers. All email is sent to these servers and then forwarded to the SmarterMail server. If your primary domain name is registered through Nucom Web Hosting, this has been configured for you.
Note: You will need to remove any existing MX record that points to mail.domainname.com.
Your MX records should be configured as follows:
| Data | MX Priority |
| domainname.com.s7a1.psmtp.com. | 1 |
| domainname.com.s7a2.psmtp.com. | 2 |
| domainname.com.s7b1.psmtp.com. | 3 |
| domainname.com.s7b2.psmtp.com. | 4 |

When you request an SSL we generate an CSR (certificate signing request) from the server where your website is hosted. We send that request to the SSL company and they send us back the certificate (big long string of numbers and letters) which gets loaded back on the web server. You can check the install by going to the secure version of your name - https://www.yourdomain.com.
Once your SSL has been installed, you need to make a change to your fbx_config.cfm file (root file). Around line 36 you'll see
<cfparam name="Request.SecureURL" default="https://www.NucomWebHosting.com/">
You need to make sure it has 'https' and 'www' as the SSL only works for the 'www' subdomain of your domain.
